AdaptAbilities is a registered charitable organization dedicated to providing a variety of goal-directed respite programs for children and adults with special needs. We focus on the individual and create an environment where participants have an opportunity to increase self-esteem, gain independence, develop social relations and foster a sense of community. Hearts in Action Year Round Day Camps |
Our Hearts In Action Summer Camps were a great success and we would like to thank all the staff, volunteers, and families that participated throughout the summer. We know that the memories gained will continue to bring smiles of laughter and joy!
Mark your calendar and gear up for our exciting season of camps and activities:
Winter Respite - December 26 - 30, 2011 Winter Camp - January 2 - 6, 2012 Teacher's Convention - March 1 and 2, 2012 Spring Break Camp - March 26 - 30, 2012 Summer Day Camps - July 2 - August 17, 2012 Don't forget to call us for PD days/Exam days or other special drop in requests throughout the year!

AdaptAbilities has two options for respite care: Meadowlark Centre (8721-163 Street, West End) McKernan Centre (11226-75 Ave, University Area) We have some great activities lined up for the Out-of-School Care Program, such as scavenger hunts, cooking, and music! As well, the planned outings for the upcoming Saturdays are sure to provide fun for the participants and much needed respite for parents! Saturday respite hours for both centres are 9:30 am - 5:30 pm.
April 28, 2012 - Cooking and Ice Cream Sundaes May 5, 2012 - Bowling May 12, 2012 - Library May 19, 2012 - Swimming May 26, 2012 - Cooking AdaptAbilities will cover transportation and entrance fees.
