Our goal-oriented year-round respite programs are thoughtfully organized by our Community Specialists to provide participants with an inclusive space to learn and grow.
We work with individuals with visible and invisible disabilities that may include:

Year-round programs are
designed to teach participants:
Come as YOU are and join us for fun, friendships, and belonging. Planned activities may include swimming, fitness centre, open play in gymnasium, indoor playground, and a variety of other recreational activities! Participants should come prepared to swim each day in addition to 2-3 other activity choices.
This program is for kids with a high level of independence and can succeed in a group ratio. If your child is not within the specified age range but you are interested in signing up for a specific day, please inquire.
BeYou runs year-round. There are three 10-week sessions:
Fall: Sept 25 – Dec 12, 2025

Our daytime Community Connect program provides a meaningful community for individuals with disabilities. This program is for adults who have finished high school. This program encourages social engagement, community access, and building independence for the individuals we support.
Community Connect runs from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Before Care: 7:30 – 9:00 a.m.
After Care: 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
We are open to provide fun, engaging and purposeful activities during PD days, exam weeks, Winter and Spring breaks. Registration for PD days and exam weeks are limited to participants who receive work-related care/extraordinary child care only through FSCD. For adults, a PDD contract is required outlining supports for non-school days.

Daily Activity and Centre Fee:$10/day
Fees will be collected at the end of each month by pre-authorized credit card for services used during that month.
Ages 12–17: The Out-of-School program is designed for children over the age of 12, who require a little extra support after school and are no longer able to access a daycare.
Transportation: Parents, check with your child’s school to see if your child is eligible for bus transportation to one of our centres. AdaptAbilities staff will meet the school bus.

Ages 18 +: Our High School Transition Program supports individuals over 18 who are continuing their high school education.

Our Social Nights provide purposeful programming. Participants meet friends, build relationships, learn new skills, and, most importantly, have fun.
Centres come fully equipped with appropriate activities and resources for participants with disabilities. We also explore our community for weekly planned group activities.
This program is for youth and young adults who can succeed in a group ratio. If your child is not within the specified age range but you are interested in signing up for a specific day, please inquire.

For adults 18+, the Remote Support Program is a new online program that provides opportunities to build community and offers a range of programs tailored to an individual’s needs and goals. Those outside Edmonton are welcome to join the program and participants can connect with one another at any time.
To participate, participants will need a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer with a reliable internet connection to connect to a Discord server.
Set Programs are offered (times subject to change):
Tuesday: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. MDT – Cooking Class
Thursday: 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. MDT – Yoga
Sunday: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. MDT – Gaming
