Amy’s Creative Talents Shine

Meet Amy, an artist extraordinaire. Her passion for history and the arts shines brightly!
Amy primarily utilizes In-Home services. Supported by Community Specialist, Deborah, they currently are working on a creative art painting project. Each painting she creates is not just a piece of art but a heartfelt tribute to the composers and historical figures she admires. Some of her favourites include Vivaldi, Mozart and Beethoven just to name a few. Her mini gallery, located in the cozy confines of her bedroom, is a testament to her dedication and creativity.
Volunteering marks an exciting new chapter for Amy, as she steps into roles that allow her to give back and gain valuable experience and work towards a long-term goal of securing a paying job.
Amy currently volunteers at the Edmonton Food Bank two times a week where she helps sort donated food to the correct bins to assist with making baskets for people in need. She will also resume volunteering in November at the Bissell Centre, prepping vegetables and food for people to eat.

Her proficiency in the kitchen, developed through the Remote Support Program cooking classes, has increased by learning safety and cooking skills. With each dish she prepares, she demonstrates creativity and precision, much like the composers she so deeply admires.
Amy’s journey is one of growth and exploration. She is continuously supported by those around her and AdaptAbilities is proud to cheer on her accomplishments!
