At AdaptAbilities, we understand that registering for a new program is a big decision. That’s why we offer free Discover Sessions—an opportunity for participants and families to experience our programs before committing to a full 10-week session. Register now.

Experience the Program Before You Register

A Discover Session is designed to take the guesswork out of choosing the right program.

Instead of wondering what a typical evening looks like, participants can experience it firsthand. Families have the opportunity to see the environment, meet our team, ask questions, and determine whether the program is the right fit for their loved one.

During a Discover Session, participants can:

• Meet our team and other participants.
• Experience a typical program evening.
• Explore the activities and atmosphere.
• Learn what to expect throughout the session.

For many families, this first visit provides peace of mind and helps build confidence before registration.

Discover BeYou

If your child enjoys being active and participating in group recreation, a Discover Session for BeYou offers a preview of what our weekly programs are all about.

Designed for youth ages 9–17 with a high level of independence, BeYou brings participants together in community recreation centres to enjoy activities such as swimming, fitness, recreational sports, indoor playgrounds, and team-building games.

The focus goes beyond recreation. Participants build confidence, develop independence, and create meaningful friendships while staying active in an inclusive environment.

Discover Social Nights

For teens and adults looking to expand their social circle and explore new experiences, Social Nights offer purposeful evenings centred on friendship, community, and independence.

A Discover Session gives participants the chance to experience the welcoming atmosphere before signing up for a full session. Activities change each week and may include bowling, laser tag, cooking, swimming, rock climbing, sporting events, movie nights, and other fun activities—providing new opportunities to connect with others while trying something different.

Who Should Attend?

Discover Sessions are ideal for families who are:

• New to AdaptAbilities or participants that have not previously participated in the program. *Limit of 1 Discover session/family!
• Looking for an inclusive recreation program that encourages friendships and independence.
• Interested in seeing the program environment before registering.

These programs are designed for kids and adults with a high level of independence and can succeed in a group ratio.

Discover Session dates and locations will be confirmed based on participant interest. Sessions are not guaranteed and will only be offered if there is sufficient registration.

If your loved one has not previously attended an AdaptAbilities program, our Intake team will contact you after you register for a Discover Session to gather additional information and answer any questions.
