Growing with Confidence

Meet Jacquelyn! Jaci brings an energy that lights up every room she enters. Outgoing, friendly, and naturally extroverted, she loves meeting new people and making friends wherever she goes.

Jaci has a wide range of interests that keep her active and engaged. She can often be found swimming, practicing Zumba or taekwondo, expressing her creativity through painting, volunteering at a daycare, or enjoying time in the kitchen cooking.

Before coming to AdaptAbilities, Jaci faced challenges with emotional regulation and communication, which made it difficult for her to express her feelings and needs.

Today, Jaci is making meaningful progress with the support of AdaptAbilities. Community Specialists help her in building emotional regulation skills by introducing strategies she can use in everyday situations. To manage overwhelming emotions, Jaci is learning breathing techniques and using simple grounding strategies, such as drinking water, to support self-regulation. To express her wants and needs more clearly, Jaci is encouraged to sign in English, helping her communicate with greater confidence.

Every step forward is helping Jaci become more independent and empowered. Her outgoing personality, willingness to learn, and determination continue to shine as she develops new skills that support her success in everyday life. AdaptAbilities is proud to be part of her journey as she continues to grow, connect with others, and pursue the activities she loves!
